The Plantation’s construction project broke ground in 2006 and has since sprung forth 1,100 homes of various types, from single family homes, to condominiums, to carriage homes, and villas. The two neighborhoods, Somerset, and Bridgetown, each have their own amenity centers. HOA fees range per neighborhood and per home. All homes have main level living space.

Pricing on single family homes ranges from $425,000-$725,000, while condos range from $230,000-$375,000.

Golf

There is an 18-hole award winning golf course on the property designed by famed architects Dr. Michael Hurdzen and Dana Fry. Opened in 2007, this private non-equity golf course caters to all levels, and is surrounded by beautiful flowers and trees, with lots of lush landscaping all around.

Golf initiation fees are $30,000, with annual dues of $7,825. Social memberships are available for a $2,500 initiation. Annual dues are $530. There is a food/beverage minimum of $540. You are able to have your own cart with a trail fee of $2,550 per year.

Clubhouse & Dining

For fantastic dining options from casual to fine, check out the bar and grill at the Great House – the community’s largest amenity center. There is also a private indoor dining option as well. At 38,000 square feet, there is plenty to see and do, such as sit outside on the patio overlooking Sunset Lagoon, drink in hand and a smile on your face. Maybe you’d enjoy one of the community’s various events, such as cookouts, live music, or various watch parties. There is various comedy show nights, dances, and food-themed events all year round.

The Somerset neighborhood boasts an 11,670 square foot activity center, while the Bridgetown community is home to Bridgetown Hall, a 9,000 square foot activity center.

The Plantation is located in an ideal locale, in that it is just off Daniels Parkway and so incredibly close to the interstate. The best shopping centers, restaurants, and even the Centurylink Sports Complex are located within 10 minutes of the community.

Costco is a 10-minute drive, and the Edison Mall is about 15 minutes away. A variety of auto body shops and garages can be found within a few miles, and there are a variety of local churches to choose from. All in all, the surrounding areas are full of life – and all the various needs you will need met can be found within the City of Fort Myers.

In case you are to need emergency medical attention, Gulf Coast Medical Center is just a 7-minute drive. You can also access Healthpark Medical Center if you’d rather, though it’s a 18–20-minute drive. There are many specialty doctor offices in the same vicinity of Healthpark, such as allergists, cardiologists, endocrinologists and more.
